| cc:Mail Retires Due to its high support overhead and user disatisfaction, cc:Mail was officially retired this month. Any users not on GroupWise should contact ISG immediately. Anyone that has not received their cc:Mail messages in GroupWise should also alert ISG. |
| 3000 New GroupWise Users Three thousand permanent Fire
Fighters were added to the GroupWise system at the end of April. IT Training will be
embarking on a training campaign for all Permanently staffed Fire Stations commencing with
a pilot programme in early May. Although the GroupWise names appear in the address book, users are cautioned that any name such as John Smith9872 (name and badge) should not be assumed to be active until the end of the rollout (October 99). The previous Fire Station Internet accounts will remain active under GroupWise. Details regarding the use of a common Fire Station account will be released soon. |
